If the sperm carrying an X chromosome then the zygote form will have XX, that means a girl. On the other hand, if the sperm carrying a Y chromosome then the zygote will XY, which means it’s a boy. Thus the gender of the baby is depending upon the sperm that is carrying the chromosome.
