In addition to regular washing and sanitizing of our hands, wearing masks can provide an added protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>Mask<\/strong> is a precautionary measure and reduces the chances of your exposure to the virus as well as the chance of spreading the virus in case someone is already infected. Especially, for pregnant women, who travel to work or appointments or stay in a household with multiple family members, might be at risk of getting exposed to the virus. In such a situation, the question that arises is &#8211; <strong>Which mask should a Pregnant Woman Opt for?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Surgical Masks and the N95 Respirators<\/strong> are the 2 common masks currently in huge demand in the course of the COVID-19 outbreak<strong>.<\/strong> <strong>Any one may be opted<\/strong> but their function and efficacy vary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Surgical masks <\/strong>are for <strong>ONE-TIME USE<\/strong> and should be disposed off regularly. They are mostly recommended for people who are sick with the coronavirus disease, preventing them from spreading it to others by blocking large-particle droplets, splashes, sprays, or splatter that may contain germs. If used as prevention to exposure, it may not be fully effective, since it is losse fitting and does not block out all germs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>N95 masks <\/strong>are <strong>RE-USABLE<\/strong>, and helps protect the wearer from breathing in at least 95% of very small particles and helps to contain virus particles from people with symptoms who must go out in public.
